The market’s strongest

ELKA PRO is made of the market’s strongest PU/polyamide fabric developed in collaboration with European manufacturers. The fabric has high tear strength, and you get good freedom of movement thanks to the flexibility of the fabric.

High quality – it’s not just something Elka says. ELKA PRO meets European standards for protective clothing, approved by accredited test institutes. All ELKA PRO products are certified EN 343 (protective clothing against water). In addition, most of the products are EN 14605-certified (protective clothing against liquid chemicals) as well as EN 14126-certified (protective clothing against infectious agents). The certification means that the individual product has been tested and that you are sure to get a product that meets the EU-set standards for safety and performance.

Water-repellent backing

ELKA PRO is made with a special, water-repellent backing – and it is an advantage if you are in a working position where it is unavoidable that water gets up under the rainwear. Thanks to the water-repellent backing, the water will just settle as drops on top of the fabric, from where it runs downwards – and the clothes will remain dry and comfortable.

Waterproof fabric and waterproof seams

Elka are experts in high-frequency welding, which is the absolute strongest production technology for waterproof workwear in PU – because with high-frequency welding you achieve a joint that is as strong as the material itself. The result is PU products with a high-water column pressure of 20,000 mm – with both waterproof fabric and waterproof seams.

Reinforcements

To avoid breakage during heavy stretches, Elka makes sure to reinforce the welds in particularly exposed places. This applies under the arms of smocks and coveralls and in the crotch of bib & braces, trousers, and coveralls.
