Splish Splash Rainwear was created in 2008 - a working mum who couldn't find any suitable waterproof pants for her toddler to play at the park.
Following an exhaustive search for good quality kids rainsuits on the web, I began importing Danish brand Kiba followed by Elka Rainwear into Australia. Partnering the rainsuit with a suitable pair of gumboots, my two daughters could get out in rainy and windy weather, and splash in puddles while staying warm and dry. I observed first hand how much happier and calmer they were when able to play outdoors.
Our family love the outdoors and in particular like to travel throughout our amazing landscapes and explore. Our Elka rainsuits have been invaluable on our many camping trips, including 2 half-laps of Australia.
We distribute children's waterproof clothing right across Australia, and also send them as far afield as Germany and US. Our customers love the bright, colourful clothing and the ease in which they can be thrown in the washing machine after getting all wet and muddy.
ABOUT ELKA RAINWEAR
ELKA was founded in Karup, Denmark, by Ejnar Lauridsen in 1958. The name comes from the founder's initials (EL) and the city name (KA). The products were primarily underwear for men and women, as well as waterproof clothing. This has slowly developed into the collection we know today.
In 1979 the name was changed into the more international name "ELKA Rainwear A/S" and we have continued to work with the challenge to protect against the extremes of nature. This know-how means that we are able to sell high-quality products with excellent functionality.
Waterproof garments for kids are traditional products for ELKA. Through department stores and kindergartens, ELKA's kids garments are the preferred choice for many Danes when selecting smart and durable waterproofs for the little ones.
