Splish Splash Rainwear was founded in 2008. Our journey began when searching for high-quality, durable waterproof gear for children that could withstand the elements. This led us to discover ELKA Rainwear, a premier Danish brand known globally for its exceptional functionality and weather protection. Recognising a gap in the Australian market, we began importing ELKA gear to deliver world-class waterproof protection locally.
Industrial Workwear Expertise
In 2015, we expanded our focus to support Australian industries, importing Elka's Waterproof Cleaning Workwear for a major industrial cleaning company.
The gear provided a high-quality, reusable alternative to flimsy disposable plastics. By investing in premium apparel, the company saw an immediate boost in staff morale. Teams felt genuinely valued, remaining safe, dry, and comfortable in even the most challenging wet working environments.

About Elka Rainwear
- Founding: ELKA was founded in Karup, Denmark, by Ejnar Lauridsen in 1958. The name comes from his initials (EL) and the city name (KA).
- Global Growth: In 1979, the company became ELKA Rainwear A/S to reflect its international focus on protecting professionals from nature's extremes.
- Relocation: Due to popular demand across Europe, the UK, and Australia, ELKA has expanded significantly and is now based in Sunds, Denmark.
- Manufacturing: The Elka cleaning range is produced at Elka's dedicated factory in Lithuania, located right next door to their Danish head office.
- Expertise: They are industry leaders in PU high-frequency welding. This is the absolute strongest production technology available for waterproof workwear.
